International Women's Day
The past 2 years have been extremely challenging and this year is no different. While many of us are going back to more “normal” lives, others are living a new nightmare.
The people of Ukraine are currently living in fear, chaos and utter turmoil. People are being displaced not only from their homes but from their country. They are being forced to leave their homes and belongings behind with no real sense of what their immediate future holds. Families are being ripped apart because adult men until the age of 60 must stay to defend their country. Imagine the terror at not knowing if you will ever see your loved ones again.
What has really struck us is the strength of the Ukrainian people in the face of such adversity. With every report we see on the news, we are humbled… by their will to survive, by their passion for their country, by their determination not to surrender and by their grace and resilience whilst facing a queue to cross a border and become a refugee or living in the metro station below their beloved cities. They are quite simply FEARLESS.
We chose the word FEARLESS. to launch our first collaboration to raise funds and awareness to support cancer research and various cancer associations. The word resonated with us because living fearlessly does not mean to live without fear, but rather to face our fears and take chances even when it’s scary and uncomfortable.
As a women-owned collaboration, we choose to support the people of Ukraine, specifically their women and girls. To mark International Women’s Day we will donate a percentage of all FEARLESS. sales on 8/03/2022 to UN Women. “UN Women stands in solidarity with the women of Ukraine, including those who had to flee their homes and separate from their loved ones, those who stayed to provide humanitarian support in extremely difficult circumstances and at great risk, and the women human rights defenders and activists who are making their voices heard in calling for peace.” Pop a reminder in your calendar and help us help the women of Ukraine.
